Ah, another day, another completely random, utterly essential "National [Insert Ridiculous Thing Here] Day."
Folks, today is National Blah Blah Blah Day, and honestly, I couldn’t be more thrilled. Or confused. Or indifferent. Honestly, I’m not sure.
What Even Is National Blah Blah Blah Day?
Great question! According to the “highly official” sources (aka a quick Google search that may or may not have been interrupted by a cat video), National Blah Blah Blah Day is… well… a day to celebrate… blah.
That’s it. That’s the holiday.
Some say it’s a day to embrace the mundane, the boring, the "I’m just here so I don’t get fired" energy. Others claim it’s a rebellion against small talk, a day where you can respond to "How are you?" with “Blah blah blah" and no one can judge you. (Spoiler: They will.)
How to Celebrate (Or Not)
If you’re the type who loves an excuse to half-heartedly participate in things, here are some totally serious ways to honor this momentous occasion:
1. Replace All Conversations with "Blah Blah Blah
Coworker: Hey, did you finish that report?
You: Blah blah blah.
Boss: Are you… okay?
You: Blah. *sips coffee* Blah.
2. Watch Something Incredibly Boring
This is your chance to finally watch that documentary on the history of paint drying. Or maybe just rewatch that meeting you zoned out in yesterday.
3. Wear Pajamas to Work (If You Dare)
Since "blah" is basically a mood, dress accordingly. Stained sweatpants? Perfect. Mismatched socks? *Chef’s kiss.* Hair looking like a bird’s nest? Blah-tastic.
4. Eat the Most Bland Food Possible
Unsalted crackers. Plain oatmeal. A single, sad rice cake. Today is the day to reject flavor and embrace the meh.
5. Pretend You’re a Background Character in Life
Walk slowly in public spaces, stare blankly into the distance, and mumble to yourself. Bonus points if you sigh dramatically while waiting in line.
Why Do We Even Have These Holidays?
Listen, I don’t make the rules. Somewhere out there, there’s a person whose full-time job is coming up with these things. "Hmm, people love avocados… National Avocado Day! People also love ignoring responsibilities… National Procrastination Day!"
And now, here we are. Celebrating -nothing in particular- with the enthusiasm of a sloth on a Monday morning.
Final Thoughts (Or Just More Blah)
Whether you choose to fully commit to the blah-ness or ignore it entirely (which is, ironically, very on-brand), just remember: Life is too short to take National Blah Blah Blah Day seriously.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a very important date with my couch and a bag of stale chips. Blah out.

Until next time, blah,
